Noranda Lions Club
A proud and active part of the local community — offering practical support, compassion, and real opportunities for those who need a helping hand.
At the heart of Lions is a simple commitment: 100% of funds raised are returned directly to the community. This means every contribution goes toward making a tangible difference — locally and beyond.
Our work supports a wide range of initiatives. Locally, this includes providing essential items such as wheelchairs, seating, clothing, bedding, and baby equipment, helping to ease the burden for individuals and families doing it tough. We also work closely with local nursing homes and community groups to respond where support is needed most.
Noranda Lions is deeply connected to the next generation, partnering with 11 local schools to provide scholarships, funding, and ongoing support. This includes the breakfast program at Morley Senior High School, where around 70 students receive assistance each day.
Beyond the local area, Lions proudly supports leading health and research organisations such as the Lions Eye Institute, Ear Science Institute Australia, and the Save Sight Institute at Murdoch Hospital.
We also deliver practical community services through well-known initiatives like the Lions Hearing Bus, offering free hearing tests, and the Lions Cancer Screening Bus, which travels to regional and remote areas of Western Australia to provide free cancer checks.
While many people know Lions for Christmas cakes and sausage sizzles, there is so much more happening behind the scenes. Noranda Lions Club is about community, connection, and stepping in where it counts.
If you’re looking to give back, get involved, or simply learn more, we’d love to welcome you.
