Probus is an international organisation that began in the United Kingdom in 1965, with the aim of bringing retired and semi-retired people together to enjoy friendship, fellowship, and shared interests. Today, Probus clubs can be found around the world, providing opportunities for members to remain socially active and engaged within their communities.
At Noranda Combined Probus Club, we welcome both men and women who are retired or semi-retired and looking to enjoy good company and a wide range of social activities.

Our club offers something for everyone. Whether you enjoy learning something new, exploring local attractions, or simply catching up over a cup of tea, you'll find a warm and welcoming community waiting for you.
Our Activities
Throughout the year we enjoy a variety of activities, including:
- Interesting guest speakers at each monthly meeting
- Morning tea and fellowship
- Lunch and dinner outings
- Theatre visits
- Day trips and coach tours
- Extended holidays and away trips
- Special Christmas and New Year celebrations
Our goal is simple—to help members stay active, make new friends, and enjoy all that retirement has to offer.
Monthly Meetings
We meet on the third Monday of each month (February to November) in the Main Hall at the Morley Noranda Recreation Club.
Meeting Time:
10:00am – 12:00 noon
Each meeting includes:
- Morning tea
- Fellowship with fellow members
- An engaging guest speaker
In December, we celebrate with a special Christmas lunch (third Monday of December) and in January (third Monday of January) we welcome the New Year with a relaxed breakfast outing.
